2010 Special Categories
Subject Category:
“Ranch Hats”
Special Awards to the
editor’s choice and to the
all-around
photographer winners.
The all-around
award will be given to the photographer who gathers the
highest total points from each category. “People’s
choice” winner will win a Western Cowman jacket. Cash
awards to the first three places in each category.

Contestants must be from the following states only: California, Arizona,
Utah, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, New Mexico, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and
Colorado.

Photos are to be 8 x 10-inch color or black and white prints, mounted on 11 x
14-inch black poster board. Photos not securely mounted will be disqualified.
Make certain address and phone numbers are attached.

Photos must depict our western ranching lifestyle. Photos can’t be altered or
image-enhanced in any way.

Enter in the following categories: scenic, animals, people or black and
white. Also a junior category for shutterbugs 15 years of age and younger.
Categories may be split.

Maximum of three entries per category are allowed per contestant. All photos
must have been taken by contestant. Photos can not have appeared in any other
publication.

Photos will become the property of Western Cowman magazine for use in
publication and promotion.

Winning entries will be published in the November 2010 issue of Western
Cowman.

Entry deadline is September 13th, 2010.

Cash awards will be given to the first three places. Photo chosen as the
“Editor’s Choice Award” will appear on the November 2010 cover.
